Raising Resilient Children
The third event of the Community Health Town Hall Series took place September 30th, 2023. Today's Mental Health, Tomorrow's Future: Raising Resilient Children was an event designed to engage community discussion surrounding the mental health of children and their development, especially for under-served and at-risk youth.
The Town Hall events are designed to promote open discussion and engagement from community members and selected panelists from organizations within the community that work directly with town hall topics. This event's selected panelists included:
- Laura Ziemer – Foster Youth Advocate and Motivational Speaker
- Jayme Clark – Eureka Police Department Mental Health Officer for the Community Safety Engagement Team
- Dr. Virgil Moorehead – Director of Behavioral Health Two Feathers Family Services
- Martin Stephan – Senior Program Manager Humboldt County Behavioral Health’s Children and Family Services
